The Smart-A-Thon features lunch, friendly competition, a silent auction, and awards.
Proceeds from this popular event continue to build The Mary Pinola/Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce Education Fund that is dedicated to supporting educational programs throughout Crescenta/Canada Valley.
The Mary Pinola/Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce Education Fund was established in June 1990 to provide grants for educational programs and projects in the Crescenta Valley. The Education Fund’s mission is to enrich the lives of Crescenta Valley residents by supporting creative, innovative and exceptional education programs and leadership.
All qualified organizations are invited to submit grant applications once a year for grants that will be awarded at the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce Installation Luncheon in early January. The Fund is invested with the Community Foundation of the Verdugos. Average grant sizes range from $500 to $3,000.
